Abstract

Intellectuals are the core force, creating and spreading knowledge in the process of human development. Entering the 21st century, the breakthrough achievements of the modern scientific, technical, and technological revolution continue to create great leaps that not only directly impact the trend of integration and globalization in many fields but is also the basis for the birth of a knowledge economy - an economy mainly based on knowledge and on scientific and high-tech development. In Vietnam, deeply concerned by the Party and State, intellectuals in general and female intellectuals in particular are proving their position in society in many important fields of the country, especially scientific and technological fields. With professional qualifications, high intellectual qualities, and a sense of responsibility to society, female scientists in technology have been holding an important position, making a decisive contribution to the industrialization and modernization of the country. Over the years, the percentage of women, who succeed in scientific research and technological development, is constantly increasing. With the results of their scientific research, female scientists in technology have made important contributions to the trend of globalization and international integration. The article focuses on studying the role of this group of intellectuals in the current period, and simultaneously, proposes the solutions to promote their great role in the country’s development today.
