Border foreign affairs in defending sovereignty and border security during the period 2019-2022: A study case of border guards in Binh Phuoc province

Abstract

The border foreign affairs play a crucial role in a nation's diplomatic relations, actively contributing to the consolidation of national borders, ensuring peace, friendship, cooperation, and common development. The Binh Phuoc province border guard forces carry out the duty of managing and defending territorial sovereignty, and maintaining border security. This task is central to the construction and maintenance of a national border. The border foreign affairs are not only protecting borders physically but also aim to create a friendly and positive environment for exchange, cooperation, and mutual development with neighboring countries. In this article, the author has chosen to use the qualitative method, focusing on analyzing and synthesizing the data from secondary sources. The goal is to clarify the significant contributions of the foreign border affairs by the border guard forces in Binh Phuoc province. From the secondary source data, by comprehensively analyzing border foreign affairs activities, the article highlights achievements and challenges faced by the border guard forces, and helps better understand the importance of this duty in establishing and maintaining positive and sustainable international relations. Additionally, the article proposes solutions to promote the synchronized implementation of measures in border foreign affairs, aiming to strengthen friendship, cooperation, and international integration with the neighboring country, Cambodia. Importantly, it emphasizes the comprehensive, synchronized, closely coordinated, profound, and effective deployment to significantly contribute to building peaceful, friendly, cooperative, and developmental border relations.
