Abstract
Agritourism is considered a viable industry for expansion due to its substantial benefits to the economy, culture, environment, and society in rural areas, as supported by published publications. The review aims to provide the statistics, generalization, and analysis of the intellectual achievements on agritourism published from early 1980 to March 2024 and stored in the Scopus database. 1536 research articles on agritourism were gathered for the bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer, MS Excel, and Publish or Perish software. The research findings show a comprehensive picture of research trends based on keywords, authors, countries, and the number of publications. Especially, this article contributes to expanding the comprehension of the present status of global agritourism research, establishing a foundation for researchers to discern new research patterns in the same field. However, the review was limited by its exclusive use of the Scopus database, which partially affected the analytical results. This constraint also implies the need for future studies that enhance views of agritourism by including more data from other sources.
