The rapid development of tourism on a global scale requires social and environmental social responsibility for all stakeholders. Responsible tourism places the issue of tourism consumption in a more conscious way of preserving natural resources and the environment, respecting social and cultural values. Based on analyzing responsible tourism issues from a visitor perspective, this article implements a young tourist’s perception survey in Ho Chi Minh City on the behavior principle of responsible tourism to determine the level their understanding of responsible views and behavior. The survey conducted on students (high school and university) in Ho Chi Minh City with a questionnaire designed to collect information on tourism participation, information topics that are pre-planned for travel, and cognitive attitudes towards key issues of the principle of responsible travel behavior. From the survey results, a content framework on responsible tourism awareness tourism is proposed with the expectation to apply to the practice of communication and community education about responsible tourism.
